Dr. Lou Schimmel is a graduate of Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia and earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. While completing his externship at Life University, Dr. Lou provided chiropractic care to many professional and amateur athletes in the Atlanta area.

As a former collegiate All-American and professional cyclist, Dr. Lou continues his love of athletics by coaching, mentoring (and still competing on!) New Jersey’s top ranked cycling team. Dr. Lou also provides chiropractic care to many athletes and performers in the area from local little leaguer to professionals including members of the NY Giants, Montclair State and Lehigh football as well as many Broadway dancers and actors.

“I have a passion for sports and helping athletes reach their full potential," says Dr. Lou, “but the most rewarding part of practice is seeing an entire family’s life and health improve under chiropractic care.

Dr. Lou also knows the value of teaching the next generation about self care. “As a father of two boys, I understand how important it is in today’s society to teach children that health and healing come from a properly functioning nervous system and a true wellness lifestyle. The outside in approach of treating dis-ease or dysfunction with drugs and surgery is often ineffective, reactionary and rarely addresses the cause of the problem."

Dr. Jacqueline Paz-Schimmel graduated magna cum laude from Life University School of Chiropractic and earned her bachelors degree in psychology from Bucknell University. Dr. Jackie left a successful family practice in Georgia to return to her hometown of Clifton, New Jersey to form this practice.

As one of Clifton High School’s elite long distance runners in the nineteen eighties, she was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado and later went on to compete at the National level in road cycling.

“As a mother of two, my interests have shifted to become the best mom and health role model for my children," says Dr. Paz-Schimmel. “My mission is to teach my family and our community that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. It does not need any help; instead a lack of interference and the benefits of natural support through chiropractic, proper nutrition, and some patience.
